Silent Auction

We'd like to thank all of the generous individuals and organizations who have donated items to the silent auction at our event. Here is a sampling of what will be offered in the silent auction:

Event information

On Wednesday August 20, join us to raise money for Vietnamese children suffering from the effects of Agent Orange that we met when we visited Danang, Vietnam in 2006 and 2007 to volunteer at the group home that cares for them.

Complimentary wine and snacks, silent auction, children's artwork on display, and more.

Staggering entrance fees - pick one and make a donation for entrance to the event

FEED: $20 will feed a child at the group home for 1 month

HOUSE: $25 will house a child at the group home for 2 months

PROVIDE: $50 will provide day care at the group home for a child for 3 months

CARE: $100 will provide day care at the group home for a child for 6 months

Donate at the door (cash or check). Or buy tickets in advance by making a donation to the Danang Quang Nam Fund using the JustGive link (Please designate your donation: HELPING HANDS). Please print a copy of your receipt and bring to the event as your entrance ticket.

Save the Date

Gallery Vietnam has kindly agreed to host our fundraiser on the evening of Wednesday August 20.

For those of you who haven't visited, it is a lovely space in Tribeca featuring contemporary Vietnamese art. Attached to the gallery is the beautiful V Cafe, a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant.

-The 7th Avenue 1 & 9 trains to Franklin Street Station, exiting at the N. Moore stairs, walk one and one-half blocks west to #55.

-The 8th Avenue A, C & E trains to Canal Street, Walker Street exit, walk West one block to West Broadway, South one block to N. Moore and two and one-half blocks to #55.

-On the East side, take the Lexington Avenue line to Canal Street Station and walk West on White Street to the end where N. Moore Street begins.

Silent Auction

Andrea Nguyen, author of Into the Vietnamese Kitchen and the website Viet World Kitchen, and Jan Dodd, author of the Rough Guide to Vietnam, have both generously donated signed copies of their respective books to be auctioned off at the fundraiser. Xin cam on!
